OK, the discussion made me take a trip to the garage to see where the switch was.

1949 22nd Series Custom - Driver's Side.
1950 23rd Series Custom - Driver's Side.
1941 180 Limo - Chauffeur's Compartment above the divider window in the center, Passenger Compartment none now that can't be right! Probably upholstered over by the PO. Gad! something else to add to the list.

Dave, have you checked the area above the ashtrays around the rear switches for the hydraulic windows?

Aha! Yes it's there. Located above the hydro switches on mine (passenger side). Thanks, Gerd.

Pic of the switch in my '41 120 Coupe. It's located on the right(passenger) side door pillar. Car is from US and is LHD and has been re-upholstered by a PO. Both the switch and bezel/surround are brown plastic.

I think that's a postwar switch. But since I don't know the junior cars quite as well as the senior, I could be wrong.

West,

A previous owner of 45+ years had many other Packards from mid thirties up to V8's. Also had a couple of guys who did work on the cars for him over the years so it's quite possible that the switch was switched at some stage of the game. Seeing I don't have access to other '41's, in this part of the world, all I know is that's how it came. But wait, Noel has a '41 160 Coupe, might be able to have a look at his!

EDIT - Added close up pic of switch. May help in identification as Post War?

That looks exactly like mine without the center slide, guess I'm up a creek getting one of these. Any suggestions?

MyVintagelimo.com I'm not to happy with my website so I'm having another one built...

All of the new old cars are not up due to not waiting to waste time on the old site...
