They can be found, but scarce. They were reproduced a while back but I understand the mold was damaged or otherwise NLA. Before suggesting where to try, it would be nice to know where you've tried already.

BTW, just a matter of form, a post in ALL CAPS is considered the equivalent of shouting. Lower case in the future would be appreciated.

Dear RHG

Are you missing the cap or is it damaged?

On the V-12 if the coils are good you have to be very careful about the wires at the cap because they will arc to each other causing a miss. This can be remedied with careful repositioning.

Caps and rotors pop up occasionally and seemingly unannounced. There are no current reproduction sources producing. There was one firm in Washington that said they were considering doing so, but I have not seen any results. I sold the last two (used) caps I had to Sandy Chirco, however I still have One NOS Autolite rotor that I had tucked away. Price is $212 firm. I also have an excellent used 1934 V-12 oil pan (oil pans were casting dated). Of course you may not need one today, but I've never seen another available, ever. I am really thinning down on V12 parts...very little left. Oh, I also have an excellent used intake/exhaust manifold..

I'd bet that most folks who tour in a Twelve have 2 or 3 spares so you might consider the old-fashioned approach, searching by phone to those owners and see if one of them is willing to part with one. I've got one friend with 4 or 5 of them, next time I see him I'll ask if he's willing to sell one and if so, I'll put you in touch.
