Agree with O_D, don't use flat gauges on used plugs. Flat gauges are okay to use on new plugs, but wire ones for used plugs. JWL

Unless valves can move an inch or so sideways they can't hit the plugs.

Oz don't let your metric versus English/American measurement system mishap keep you down very long. Even those NASA Rocket Scientist brainica (sp) types have found it bewildering. Yours didn't cost you much of anything but some time. NASA's cost them gobs of millions when they tried to land a rover on Mars.

...and lenses for the Hubble space telescope. The Hubble's problems were corrected. JWL

All's well that ends well. Now that I know measuring tools have to be identified correctly before use, a lesson learned. I was going to say, a trap for young players except this player ain't so young!
