Greetings everyone. I joined this site at the end of January of this year and have been amazed at the knowledge that is shared here. Up until now, I have only been a looker on the side lines, but I now have a couple of questions I'd like to ask. First off, I'm puting together a display showboard for my 37 120, and I'd like to include the Packard logo, and maybe a picture of a dealer sign. Does anyone know where I can find decent pictures that I can download and then upload to powerpoint to design my board? I am also looking for the Goddess of speed ornament. I've looked on ebay for over a year with no luck. I'm sure there are reproductions out there, I've heard they run about $550, but it seems to be a secret. Kanter did not have it, and neither did Max Merritt (sp). Any help would be appreciated.

This might be the place with the ornament you're looking for.

G'day Mike,
to PackardInfo. And for including your '37 in the Owner Registry, looks great!

Thanks for the Welcome, and the information on the Goddess of Speed. Hard to think it can cost $650 for a reproduction hood ornament, but when the supply is short, and the demand is high...... I'd still like to see if anyone has any Packard clip art out there. Thanks

I don't recall ever seeing any clip art of just logos and things of that nature. Believe PAC owns most of the rights so maybe someone else more versed in that can help.

If for yourself, maybe the best approach would be to scan something you like and go that route--or possibly buy one of the reproduction "Packard Service" signs from swap meets or vendors. Have seen several versions of those & maybe something like that would fit your needs.

You may want to look through the Adverts in the photo archive, as you may find some there. Also the various model brochures that are here on the website may have something you can use for artwork.

Look up American Arrow and Don Sommer. They make a lot of hood ornaments.
And a big welcome to Packardinfo - if you can't find the info here, it probably isn't available.

Don Sommers stuff is high price but good quality from what I have seen. Again you need to think about how much demand there is for these.
