1940 Hubcaps

I tried to buy a set of script hubcaps from Kanter for my 40 110. They say the ones they have are too big for a 110.

True or false? Are the hubcaps different sized for the different models?

Yes. The 110 hubcaps are smaller.

Couldn't quite find comparable angles but it appears to me the 110 hubcap is rounder and flare doesn't flow into the wheel like the 160 does.

I believe that Bill Hircsh reproduces the 110 caps. He has them for most pre-war years.

Not sure if applicable to your type hubcap but there were a couple of post war items on how to keep those hubcaps on. Service Counselor Vol22#2https://www.packardinfo.com/xoops/html/downloads/SC/SC-VOL22NO2.pdf pg 8 and Vol21#9https://www.packardinfo.com/xoops/html/downloads/SC/SC-VOL21NO9.pdf pg 46.

Following Appin's(John) recent post about his hub cap clips I went back to this thread to refresh myself about the background to his problem. In response Howard cited this SC:
Quote: However on accessing the link provided there is no Page 46! Reference back to the 1947 Service Counselors found this: "Service Counselor vol. 21, no. 10 (Mislabeled as no. 9 by Packard)" then accessing no. 10 reveals the Page 46 in question. A bit late, but better late than never.

Here's the link -https://www.packardinfo.com/xoops/html/downloads/SC/SC-VOL21NO10.pdf
