I am on Christmas stand down this week, and finally have some free time. Anyone know any Packard owners on my island who might want to show off their car?

Yes. The PAC directory shows about 8 members with Packards in Hawaii, 4 in Honolulu. Packard had a very elegant dealership building in Hawaii for many years and did a good volume of business there.

Quick search found 2 PackardInfo members, MarkH of Honolulu with a '23 126 Touring Sedan and Tim49 of Hilo with a '52 200 Deluxe Touring Sedan. Here's a link to Tim's profile which contains an email address. There could/would/should be more members I'd imagine.

Gerd, thanks for bringing us back to this wonderful video. We forget that WW-II was fought in color.

Ken P: Suggest you contact Jud Ihrig who lives in Honolulu, he's an automotive historian of considerable reputation, both on Packards and Classic cars in general.

Thanks to everyone for the info. No luck contacting Mr. Ihrig yet, but I'll keep trying.

Any Packard historians know the whereabouts of the old dealership?

Never mind. He has been located, I think, and an e-mail sent.

Couple of Honolulu dealerships listed in the Packard Dealerships listing together with aerial pic's of their locations. If you get a street level pic of the building could you include it in the dealership listing?
