Hello, I'm new to PackardInfo.com, new the Packards and mostly new to Auto Restoration. A trifecta of ignorance if you will.
There is so much fantastic information here that I can't seem to concentrate on any one area but I'll get the hang of it. I'll feel in the registry soon.
I've been wanting a project car for some time just never really knew what I wanted until my wife stumbled upon a picture of here dads car. We actually found several pics of him and various Packards but the 400 was our favorite. So here I am, I'll be in touch.

Stewart:

Your 400 looks about the same as my Patrician did many years ago when I started. In order to start you have to first decide what you want in the end and how much time and money.
Example: top quality show car rebuild everything whether it needs it or not = very expensive and long term. Good quality driver = not so expensive and less time. Once you decide that then you can work out a plan. Good luck.

Stewart, congratulations on your fine choice of a '55 Packard Four Hundred as your project car! I look forward to following your progress with your restoration on this site and it is a wealth of information and contacts. As you can see, I'm the proud owner of both a '55 Patrician and a '55 400. The 400 is on the road at this time but still needs quite a bit of work. The Patrician is the real project car and hopefully will be moving under its own power by spring. Enjoy your Packard!
