Gerd, I noticed that. To me, it looks like a nice custom, no where near as obscene as the yellow turd.

I seen that post too Mal, and figured it was just Kiwi mentality......

Chad, there's just no sense to some people!

clicked on the link and the e-bay ad has been cancelled.

Thank God...... Of course for that price I would have thrown in my disastermobile.

What a waste... At least it's still Packard powered and no flames on it. They probably come after you hook up the electrics.

Wouldn't want the car anymore, but would sure like to see more pictures of the mechanicals and how/where they were done & operate.

On the surface, you'd almost have to give the engineering an A. The hood and doors are heavy, long & thick to support & move as compared to what you usually see done that way.

You can buy universal Lambo-door hinges that will bolt into almost any straight jam door. They are usually spring/hydraulically assisted and pop the door out and and up and the same time to clear the room and A pillar. I have seen them in person on many an Import, escalade and navigator at car shows.

I can just see opening the car door in my garage underneath one of the low hanging fluorescent light fixtures... exciting (but messy).

I think an Optima would be cheaper and a hell of a lot more effective than this: Delco Battery

And this: Delco Battery #2

Though dry-charged, I can't imagine any new battery that old would hold up for very long, even if successfully activated.

Such NOS batteries might be worth purchasing to use as a "plug" to make a mold to produce affordbale faux covers for some other more reliable and affordable battery.
