Here is a video taken in the late 40's of Los Angeles. There is an early 40's Packard Taxi & many other cars in this video. Pretty neat to watch.

Thank you for sharing the footage. It really made my day seeing a Packard taxi on the streets working.

It sure was. I had to rewind it and watch that part over to verify. That Packard needs a ring job!

That sure wasn't a Packard town. The taxi was the only one I noticed. Surprised what a high percentage of coupes were visible.

being its a taxi....tons of miles on it i'm sure.

Even in to 1940s the "Well-To-Do" didn't live in downtown.

Watching this, I notice that most of the cars had black tires. I thought it was mandatory for every car made before 1961 to have Wide White walls on them.
