Here in Oz it's Fathers Day tomorrow, Sunday. Because I'm flying up to the Gold Coast to see my Dad tomorrow and my brother, whose birthday is also tomorrow, my family had a Fathers Day for me today, Saturday. While I'm up on the Gold Coast, besides the family festivities, hope to catch up with a couple of Packards and their owners, a '38 7 Passenger and a '36 120B. Will post pic's, besides the one below the owner sent me earlier this year, if I get to see them.

What better way to do something on Labor Day - Laboring by doing some body work, primer and some black paint on some small, but not so incidental parts.

The end goal is however to get into the 901, turn the key and drive somewhere. Maybe Fish & Chips in Ventura, CA.

Hope everyone has something special planed. Taking the Grandson out this afternoon form steak or prime rib. Will be using the Buick or Toyota.

P.S. And Laughter is the best Medicine.

There was no 55 Clipper at the Cars & Coffee on Sunday. More to follow on this latest adventure. I did go see Senna on Monday. It will break your heat and make you cry. I recommend it for anyone who is interested in people and their quest for accomplishment. One of the best films I have ever viewed.

Saw my Dad and Mum on Sunday, Fathers day here, good time had with family. Also caught up with the '38 Super 8 that day and the '36 120B Touring Sedan on Monday morning before I flew home. Couple of pic's below with all the pic's being in this album. For those wanting to know more, I'll expand on the Packard's in the Wade's Workshop Blog in the next couple of days.

sorry anglophiles, but I'm not a fan of badge bars - sort of a charm bracelet for cars. I'm pretty sure West will have my back on this.

I find the license plates to be fascinating. They are marked "OLD". IS that the way Oz identifies historic plates on all historic car registration???

Look again. It's QLD. QLD = Queensland.

P.S. When I first glanced at it, I read 'OLD' too. Maybe because I am.

Regarding badge bars, an individual choice with some appealing more than others. To each his own.

Thanks Dave(JD) for the clarification on "QLD", Queensland being the large State occupying the north-east corner of the Australian Continent.

Keith,

Centre badge is from the NRMA, a roadside breakdown service, I have an NRMA badge on my '41 Coupe. It is flanked by TWO Packard Automobile Club of Australia badges(Terry also had a '37 120 as well the '38 Super 8 but kept the '37's badge when he sold it). The other badges are from various runs, rallies and car events over the years, Terry also told me he has a drawer full of badges in reserve.
